Difference between Owen Mumford Autoject 2 Standard Fixed and Removable

Owen Mumford Autoject 2 Automatic Injection Aid makes syringe self-injection easy by reducing anxiety and enhancing comfort. Simply load a syringe, and at the touch of a button, Autoject 2 injects the needle at a pre-set depth, and delivers the medication subcutaneously.

Autoject 2 Automatic Injection Aid has 3 models as follow.

Autoject 2 – Standard Fixed – Autoject 2 Fixed Needle Device for self-injection with fixed needle syringe

  • Compatible with most fixed needle syringes (see compatibility chart) for subcutaneous injections

Autoject EI – External Indicator – Autoject EI Fixed Needle Device for self-injection with fixed needle syringe. Autoject EI has a built-in indicator to help users with visual impairments know when their dose is complete.

  • Compatible with most fixed needle syringes (see compatibility chart) for subcutaneous injections

Autoject 2 -Standard Removable – Autoject 2 Removable Needle Device for self-injection with removable needle syringe

  • Compatible with the 1ml BD Tuberculin syringe.

Autoject 2 Standard Fixed vs. Removable

The difference between Autoject standard fixed and removable is simply in the needles they house.

  • The standard removable is compatible with the 1ml BD Tuberculin syringe only.
  • The standard fixed is compatible with most fixed needle syringes (see compatibility chart) for subcutaneous injections.
